What is Chronalife?

Chronalife is a single-player life simulation: you create a character, age year by year, and use Actions to work, invest, build relationships, run businesses, and deal with random events. Money, markets, sportsbook, and lottery are in-game—not real-money gambling or investment advice.

Where can I play?

Chronalife is iOS and Android—install paths and betas are announced on Discord and summarized on the Download page. There isn’t a playable web app on this marketing site; News has version notes as builds ship.

How do I move around the app?

The main screen uses five tabs along the bottom:

Lots of screens open from Actions or Settings (for example, deeper sportsbook or finance views)—they aren’t all separate tab buttons.

What does “Age Up” do?

Age Up advances simulated time (typically one year). That runs yearly updates: income, taxes, health, careers, markets, life events, and more. Some choices are once per year; others you can use anytime between age-ups.

Saves and slots

• Your progress lives in save slots on your device.
• Multiple slots let you run different lives at the same time.
• Starting a new life in a slot replaces that slot’s story—use another slot if you want to keep an old run.
• Cloud save backup is part of Chronalife Plus: you sign in, keep Plus active, and turn on backups in Settings → Saves so a copy is stored safely online.

Accounts and sign-in

Chronalife uses Clerk for accounts. Sign in from Settings → Account with your email—we don’t use Sign in with Apple or Google for Chronalife. Verify your email when Clerk prompts you; verification can be required for cloud backups, Plus, and other online features.

Signing out stops online sync; your local saves usually stay on the device unless you delete them.

Chronalife Plus vs free

Chronalife Plus is the paid subscription. Exact price is shown in the app and at Clerk Billing checkout before you confirm.

Plus usually includes:

• Cloud save backups
• Time Machine upgrades—more rewind snapshots, longer quick jumps, and fuller compare tools (see below)
• Sandbox tools under Settings → Sandbox for trying ideas without risking your main run

Free players still get the full core game with a smaller Time Machine (see below).

Time Machine (rewind and snapshots)

Time Machine saves checkpoints for your current life so you can rewind or compare past states.

Ironman (if you turn it on in-game) can limit or disable some of these tools—check the Time Machine screen in the app for your current rules.

Sandbox mode

Sandbox is for experimenting (extra cash, shortcuts, testing scenarios). It’s Plus-only and needs an active run with a living character.

Runs that use Sandbox can be marked so competitive leaderboards stay fair—heavily boosted or “sandbox” runs may not qualify for the same rankings as a normal playthrough.

Actions and age gates

Actions are grouped by theme (Social, Career, Money, and so on). Some Actions unlock at minimum ages:

Special situations (like prison) can limit which Actions you can use. Commercial real estate and property manager paths also depend on age plus your net worth and portfolio—details appear in-game as you unlock them.

Stocks, crypto, casino, lottery, sportsbook

• Everything here is simulation inside the game—not a real brokerage, crypto exchange, or sportsbook.
• You can’t cash out in-game wins for real money from us unless we clearly run a separate, lawful promotion and say so in the app.
• Sportsbook unlocks at 21+ in line with how many places treat real betting.
• The sportsbook includes limits and cooldowns to keep play manageable—use them if the pace feels like too much.

Building and property

Construction (from 18+) walks you through buying lots, building, watching schedules and permits, and managing renovations or bigger projects. Loans, warranties, and commercial deals are part of that system as you progress.

Social, dating, and in-game text

Some features (chat-like text, social posts, naming help, and similar) may use online AI when enabled. AI can be wrong, odd, or inappropriate—it isn’t real-world advice about money, health, or the law. If AI isn’t available, those spots may use fixed text instead.

Notifications

On a real phone or tablet, you can allow notifications for things like lottery or activity reminders. Notification behavior can differ by OS, build, or simulator previews.

Bug reports

From the in-app reporter you can send what happened, device info, and optional screenshots or a debug summary. We avoid putting login secrets in that bundle, but summaries can still show game stats and story context—only share what you’re okay with.

Offline play and sync

Parts of the game can wait while you’re offline and catch up when you’re back online. If sync seems stuck, open Settings, confirm you’re signed in (for Plus/cloud), and try again on a stable connection.
